William M. Mcguire elected Town Sergeant in October 1869 and the date he left office is unknown.

Richard H. Brinkley served as Town Sergeant from 1873 to 1880.

Robert R. Smith served as Town Sergeant from July 1880 to July 1887. During this time, Claude W. Wright was in office for a short period.

Frank H. Farley was Town Sergeant from July 1, 1888 to July 24, 1889. Records indicate that Sergeant Farley and Sergeant Parker were in office for a short time together.

George T. Parker served as Town Sergeant from July 5, 1889 until July 24, 1889. He served only 19 days.

Alexander H. Baker served as Town Sergeant from July 24, 1889 until June 1891. The police force consisted of four officers who were paid $37.00 per month. The officers were J.D. Matthews, Isaac Turner, Edward Dennis, and W.L. Hubard.

John W. Ames served as Town Sergeant from July 1, 1891 to June 30, 1901.
